Alexi&Beno’s destination wedding at Brush Creek Ranch in Wyoming this past weekend was truly second to none! I can honestly say that I have been incredibly blessed with my clients over the years. Something for which I am very thankful. But I gotta tell you right at the top that of list now is Alexi&Beno’s magnificent Brush Creek Ranch wedding. They traveled all the way from the Cayman Islands, and their friends&family from all over the world, to have their destination wedding in this incredible place. And we had the immense pleasure&privilege of spending the weekend with them on the incredible Brush Creek Ranch in Wyoming , documenting their wedding celebrations. This is as good as it gets folks! Incredible people! Spectacular location! INCREDIBLE PEOPLE! Seriously cannot say this enough. They blessed us big time. In fact, getting a little teary eyed as I just think about it. We truly were made to feel like guests. Authentic, beautiful people, completely at ease in their skin. This just made the photography part so easy and blessed. Alexi&Beno, again, and over and over, THANK YOU! I also have to just give a shout out to Heather Allen from Table 6 Productions, The Perfect Petal, as well as Zach and his entire staff at Brush Creek Ranch. Tremendous you guys! I cannot recommend them more highly. If you’re lo0king for a truly authentic luxury western experience for your wedding then do yourself a huge favor and look no further than Brush Creek Ranch. A truly special place. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing weddings all over the world and this is without question my favorite venue now! So here’s a few images from Alexi&Beno’s destination wedding at Brush Creek Ranch this past weekend. And as a side note, this was the first wedding i got to shoot with the Pentax 645D digital medium format system. I’ve shot them all over the years – Hasselblad, Phase One, Leica etc – but this Pentax is the first medium format digital system that truly handles like a SLR. Kudos to Pentax for this. It beats the competition hands down in this department. Which makes the Pentax 645D without question the best digital medium format option for wedding photography IMHO. And the high iso performance is top notch as well. I’ll be sharing more in detail thoughts soon on my experience. But just in short I highly recommend this camera – superb handling, beautiful files etc. A huge thanks also to Drew&Roger at the amazing LENS RENTALS.COM for making the system available to me. These guys are simply without equal in the rental business. And they have the Pentax 645D ready for rental so head on over. PUBLISHED IN SPRING/SUMMER 2013 ISSUE OF DESTINATION I DO MAGAZINE.
