GOODBYE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

As I sit here today putting this post together I am filled with nothing but thankfulness! Overflowing with thanks for all that my Father has blessed me with these past few years through wedding photography. So many friendships and incredibly rich experiences that will no doubt extend way beyond photography. I wanted to thank so many of you one by one, but I think that would end up being even longer than this ridiculously long blog post is already. So I’m afraid a very general, but sincere, and from the bottom of my heart thank you will have to suffice. THANK YOU! With that said I do have to give a special shout out to AD and Erik. I’ve had the pleasure of sharing some big moments with you brothers specifically during this time and so a special thanks to you two. For those of you that don’t know yet we are officially closing the business next week and me and my girls are moving to Kathmandu, Nepal. For how long we do not know, and whether we will return to the US or wedding photography we do not know, our Father alone knows. And this is sufficient for us. The honest truth is photography, as much as I have enjoyed it and been thoroughly blessed by it, was never my first love. It has always been Jesus! And so we move as He now moves in us…He brought us here, and now He gets to move us on to the next location. So with that all said here is a few of my favorites from the past few years. It has been a heck of a ride! I truly am blessed beyond my ability to put into words…

Kirsten - I’m sad, because the industry desperately needs you, but I completely understand. I’m constantly in awe of your talent and consider myself so blessed to have worked alongside you for a brief time and revel in your awesomeness. Do what makes you happy, Otto!

Du Wayne Denton - Otto. your talent and your gift have inspired me to push deeper into my creativity that God has given me. Wish you and your whole family all of the best! God bless you.

Trevor Kahn - you have been an inspiration to me since first year Otto. May Jesus shine on you and your family and keep you safe on your new adventure. Photography is not going to be the same without you.

tess - you are amazingly talented and you will be missed. best of luck and never put down that camera!

Carl Simpson - Take care over there Otto! Nothing but admiration for you. Take pictures over there…

Jonathan Roberts - I’ve always admired your wedding photography. I just wanted to say best wishes to you and your family as you start this next stage in you lives.

James - Be safe. Be happy. Thanks for sharing your vision with us. May you continue to share it wherever you go.

britney - I’ve never seen your work before, but if this post is anything to go by, your work will be missed. this is beautiful and touching and makes me breathe out.

Jonathan Parenzee - Hi Otto. You may not know it, but I have been keeping an eye on you! As I read the above, I re-call how you made me so emotional by your Love for Christ. He IS with you as you and your family take on a different way to present His light to others; as it always shows in your work. Photography has become richer because you. Now the Lords pastures has another worker to bring in the harvest. I pray His blessings on you! Jonathan (MrP)

Maarten - You have been a huge inspiration, and now not just in photo’s but ever more by your way to live

Heather Gardner - Otto – you were such a kind & caring person when I first launched my business in 2008 and I just wanted to tell you THANK YOU and best wishes on this amazing new journey you and your family will be taking.

Steven - Lord be praised for what He has done through you.

Geoff - Amazing stuff Otto. I wish you the best in Nepal.

Erik - He is good! Your friendship has been an immense blessing that extends far beyond photography. I often say that I am a photographer solely for the reason that there are people that I am supposed to meet that I simply would have never met had I not been a photographer. Otto, you are a perfect example of that.
The Clausens will speak of Otto always.

Dani K - There is no better place to be than in the will of God! All the best to you!

Emilia Jane - Your work will be missed. But more importantly, all my best for your next steps. May the LORD continue to lead you! <3

Nadine - You have been such an inspiration to me. I can’t wait to see what you do in Nepal!

Chad Z - Amazing. Your work and your courage to follow. Best of luck in Nepal!
